Calhoun County Treasurer Appointment Committee Meeting

The Calhoun County Treasurer Appointment Committee will convene on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. in the Board of Commissioners Chambers, Room 3-C08, at the Calhoun County Building, 315 W. Green St., Marshall, Michigan 49068.

Pursuant to MCL 168.209 and 201.35, the Calhoun County Treasurer Appointment Committee is responsible for appointing a qualified individual to fill the vacancy left by the passing of elected Calhoun County Treasurer Brian Wensauer.

The Treasurer Appointment Committee is composed of:

• Probate Judge Michael Jaconette
• Clerk & Register of Deeds Kimberly A. Hinkley
• Prosecuting Attorney David Gilbert

During this meeting, the Committee will review its statutory obligations and determine the process by which a new county treasurer may be appointed. The Committee may choose to appoint a qualified individual to the position during this session.

This meeting is open to the public, and attendees will have an opportunity for public comment.
