Personal Injury Accident in Fredonia Township
On June 2, 2022 at approximately 8:32 p.m., Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the intersection of J Drive South and 15 ½ Mile Road in Fredonia Township for a Personal Injury Crash. A 43-year-old Fredonia Township man and a 24-year-old Fredonia Township man were riding a motorcycle south on 15 ½ Mile Road when they lost control and slid approximately 50 yards into a guardrail. Fredonia Township Fire Department responded and established a landing zone for Air Care. One male was transported by helicopter to Borgess Kalamazoo and the other male was transported by a LifeCare Ambulance to Bronson Kalamazoo. At this time the medical status of the men is unknown.
The Calhoun County Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and is investigating the crash. At this time it is not known what may have been a factor which caused the motorcycle to lose control. The investigation is ongoing.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Fredonia Township Fire Department, LifeCare Ambulance Service, and Air Care.
